I was actually lucky enough to find a Cinderella Swirling Lights doll for ONLY $20! (Usually retailed $50-$60). I wasn't to desperate to get my hands on her, but I couldn't go wrong for the price of $20! However, I will not be unboxing her as I would like to keep her as hopefully a collectible in the future. Her main feature is her sound effects. Her dress lights up and creates a "magical sound". Her shoes are more of an accessory. I assume she has bare feet, since her shoes aren't on her feet. Her hair looks quite sprayed down. It's VERY accurate to the promo shots, (on the back) which will be in a couple more photos. Her tiara is held in well with 2 large tabs. Her top is painted on, which I'm not sure why it bothers so many people. It's very realistic and you can feel it through the sound hole, and it's very nice in colour choice. I think her dress is very unique and special. It's very detailed and a very nice shade of blue in my opinion. It's quite similar to the original picture of cinderella, which I find a lot of doll lines struggle with. The promo shots, as mentioned, are very accurate to the doll. It states you can purchase a seperate carriage. Which was priced at around $40. Overall, I can't really say I have an opinion, since I haven't really opened her yet. I have got to say, I am quite happy that I got her! I would say she's definitely worth $20, but maybe not $60. But who knows, she could be outstanding out of the box! Yay! It's finally April! (Well, in 2 days, to be prescise..) but I've decided to try a new thing - every month comes a new doll! If you have any suggestions on a great doll for any month, you know exactly what to do. (Contact>Email>Send). For the first ever Doll Of The Month, I've chosen Briar Beauty from Ever After High. (On the survey, I know lots of you requested more Ever After High...) I'm surprised I haven't done a review of her yet, I think she'd just make it as my favourite doll out of my collection. Here, below, I present the April edition of Doll Of The Month! All images on this site have a blanket policy. To use these photos outside of this site, you must seek proper permission. It just hit me - in all the time I've been doing this website, I have yet to talk about disney! Well, I finally caught up with what everyone is talking about, Sofia The First! At first, I wasn't to sold on the idea of a 7-year old Disney Princess. But actually, I quite like her! I also picked up a discounted Toddler Belle, which I though I could use as a comparison to sofia. So here she is! She is quite large and has some really cute curls. They stay in place very well and don't get messy easily! (1 point) Her face isn't very detailed, but that's fine considering she's themed as a little child. I think we'd have something to worry about if she had oodles of makeup! Her dress absolutely and completely sold me! It's got a lovely "Princess" theme wí though being to formal or dull. The sparkles make it look very girly and bright. Her tiara is very tight in, which is great. It's held in by really small tabs, which scores another point! Let's see her up against Belle.. They are the same size, though Sofia has a slightly larger head. Belle's dress material is slightly rougher and her hair is a lot thinner and longer. I guess that's it for her, see you next time, and I don't know if I mentioned it, but THANK YOU all so much for getting me to 99 views! A big personal thanks from me! Okay, before I start, I promised you all a summary of her. Well, I think she's beautiful! Out of the first four, Briar jumped out at me the most since I'm such a sucker for pink, girly dolls. Apple white was my second favourite, but she was so hard to find! As you can see, I eventually ended up with her. I ended up liking her even more than briar! Needless to say, I am COMPLETELY obsessed with ever after high, I mean, it's my ringtone, and basically my whole life. (I sound wierd, don't I...) but I totally give this doll 11/10. Perfection, mattel! Anyway, here are my own promo shots... (All these images used in this review have a blanket policy. If you wish to use them outside this website, you must seek proper permission.) Nothing is complete without friends... Wow. I think she's tired of this review. Well, to let her get her sleep, I will end this review happily and well pleased. I hope mattel keeps this up! I have only been doll collecting for about 3 years. My first doll after discovering this awesome hobby was Frankie Stein, School's out. I absolutely LOVED her look! This was probably my favourite version of her, I loved seeing her in a sort of elegant look. I apologise for some of the lost accessories and her quality, she has seen better days! Even coming THIS far into monster high and doll collecting, monster high faces never really sold me. She has a fun, simple hairstyle. It has a small braid part on one side, tying up into one of her bangs, showing off her long, white hair. I love her stitches. One thing I've noticed about mattel is that they use EXQUISITE detail. (Mattel, if you're reading this, you should be very proud, you are an absolutely amazing doll line). I am IN LOVE with her shoes. Can I have a pair in size 5, please? So sorry for the shortness of this "review" she's not exactly newsworthy anymore, so I thought I should keep this plain and simple. Like I said before, keep waiting for Elsa Toddler! Haven't exactly been to caught up with the latest Monster High trends, I've been a bit "Busy" getting up to scratch with EAH! I did come across this, though. I loved draculaura's new makeup, and I was really excited to see Clawd Wolf for the first time. Anyways, here they are! I guess I should start off with Draculaura, shouldn't I? To be honest, Monster High hasn't excited me these past few months. However, we just got a new stock load at my local Kmart! Draculaura really excited me, and I bought the pack mainly just for her. The thing that I loved most? Her face! I really loved her big eyes, and the makeup that suited her perfectly. I didn't like the dead tired or skull shores Draculaura, Becuase her eyes were a bit too... Exaggerated, I guess? See the difference! Another thing that sold me was her throw-back style dress. I've always been stuck in a bit of a time warp, so it's no wonder I love it! Her shoes remind me of something you would find on a Lalaloopsy doll. Not a bad thing, just a comment! They won't fit another monster high doll as they need to be large for her tights, though they do for an EAH doll! Her hair is very thick and in really cute, high pigtails. I love her original fringe and how Mattel have kept her hair the same for most of the lines! Alright, I give her 8/10. Now, onto Clawd... His face is very realistic, it's molded perfectly with only one flaw: he has a little sliver cuff on his eyebrow, not sure if it's a factory mistake or a styling choice, but it's not incredibly noticable. His shirt is very thick and does limit his movement. You can easily lift his elbows up and down, but his shoulder joints are very restricted. His vest makes a great addition to him, adds a little bit of style. And the scarf is even better! It's a great colour and really suits Clawd. His shoes are very tough. Not complaining, just commenting. They are made from a gold vinyl and are very hard to take off, in fact I haven't taken them off yet because I'm a bit concerned I might ruin his ankle joints. Overall, I would just say to go buy the set. It really has no flaws, as would be a great addition to your collection. I hereby present to you the long-awaited Apple White (Pt. 2) ..... Her shoes are a "royal red" colour, with faint spirals going down each heel. They have a slit at the back to make it easier to take off, but I wasn't game to undress her as I want to keep my EAH dolls in mint condition. She has an amazing Apple purse which opens, and is quite large. (Unlike Maddie's) I was extremely excited about this as all those pesky rings keep sliding off. Her bracelet is a thick, decorated bangle. I love that mattel went to great lengths to make the Ever After High dolls perfect and flawless. Her headband if beautifully decorated, and everything about her is unique and pretty. Her key-shaped brush is the same as Blondie's. Her bookmark-storybook is a really good story in general, and despite most reviews, it tells you so much about the character! Overall, she is flawless. I just love her! Keep waiting for the promo shots, because my summary will be right in there! It will be uploaded soon, but I'll give you a hint : She's gorgeous! So here's officially part 2 of Cedar! Now, let me start at her shoes... They have brown straps, which the older model of her has pink straps, they are can easily be taken off, but as mentioned I'm not the biggest fan off undressing dolls. Now, moving on to my favourite part of her... Her dress! Her dress was the whole reason I liked her. I'm a huge fan of pink, so I loved her skirt and the little decoratove gold. I also love Peter Pan collars in real life, so this outfit was like everything that I loved had.. Combined! She's actually quite tall, really! Even if I do remove her shoes, she towers over all the EAH and MH dolls! (Keep in mind Poppy has very thick, long boots) Here are her accessories! Her purse does open, but I advise not putting anything in there as it may be difficult to get out. She also has the usual bookmark-story and key-brush. I think I've covered everything, if not you may request something with it and I may add it to your request. I'm SO sorry, non-EAH fans, and I also owe the people who have been waiting so long for this! While waiting for the Toddler Elsa doll, I decided to do my review that I promised a while ago, since Poppy and Holly arrived, I'm going to do them seperatley, so you can choose what one is your favourite. So, I hereby present to you... HOLLY O'HAIR! I had the choice between the Ashlynn and Hunter pack, or Holly and Poppy, let me tell you it's not easy deciding. It LITERALLY took me about a week! Now, if you know me well, you'll be able to tell that I'm love a good pink doll. Well, I finally decided, and here they are! Well, enough chit chat, here she is! I'm so pleased with her! I'll start at the shoes and work my way up... They have a beautiful metallic gold to them, with brick heels, themed like a tower. You've done it again mattel. She has the same usual fishnet stockings, which we've seen quite a bit in the EAH section. Apple, Raven, Cupid, Holly, and someone else, I think? She has a nice, elegant drape dress, with a hint to her story, with a plaid belt. Her mauve top does come a bit loose sometimes, so you may have to keep an eye on that. Now, moving onto my favourite piece of her... Her cardigan! It throws her together and adds a nice trendy look to her. This is probably what everyone is waiting for... Her hair. It has a nice wavy texture to it, but can easily get messy just by moving. (You didn't expect anything else.. Did you?) I love that it's not hugely long, but we get the point that she's going to be the next rapunzel. She has one of the nicest faces out of the EAH dolls, her reflective dots only show lightly. I love her lip colour! It matches her Aqua eyes well and she has minimal pink makeup, which looks very natural-like on her. Holly has a cool purse, which doesn't open, but it's slightly squishy and fun to hold. I'm slightly getting a bit sick of the gold and silver brushes, even black. I understand though, since some of the girls have the same colour scheme. Her story looks a lot like Briar's, except her charm is a tower, also her ring which unfortunately I lost and is.. I don't exactly know. I love her headpiece! It's made up of tiny mauve "flowers" and sits wel on her head. One more point! I also love these bracelets. They're very detailed and are meant to look like a plaid of hair. I guess that's it for Holly! For me, she was a really good doll, and went a bit over my expectations!
